  • Part 1 of our Resin Rubber Overview series, this class is 2 hours filled with all the information we can give you on mold making products and techniques. Includes some demonstration. Mold making class is held every other month.

  • Part 2 of our Resin Rubber Overview series, this class is 2 hours filled with all the information we can give you on casting products and techniques. Includes some demonstration. Casting class is held every other month.

Since our classrooms are heavily used and we want our students to express themselves in an unrestricted manner, our classrooms are not immaculate by any stretch of the imagination. Although we try to keep our space as tidy as possible we do not suggest you wear your best clothes to our classes.

  • TCS offers custom classes and demonstrations on a wide range of topics from mold making and casting to stone carving and power tools use. We also offer children’s workshops and have hosted special events such as bachelorette sculpting parties.
  • Prices for custom classes and events varies based on such things as subject, travel, materials and any special requests that you have. If you have a class you would like to propose to us please email Rita with your requests.

Part of Sculpt Across America - Starting March 2010 sculptor Karen Cope journeys across America holding sculpting workshops along the way. She will be in NYC at The Compleat Sculptor in May, 2010.


Sculpting the Figure in Clay in Tuscany with Sculptor/instructor Gwen Marcus
Cortona, Italy July 17-24, 2010
The workshop will explore figurative sculpture. From beginners to advanced levels, it will cover form, proportions, relationships, and the flow of a composition. The class will teach techniques working in water-based clay with a live nude model. There will be a set pose to work from for the duration of the workshop. Through demonstrations and individual attention every day, each student will learn and be given personal direction in creating an exciting figurative composition.

Plaster casting and final casting, packing & shipping costs extra, and are the responsibility of each person who would like to cast their work.
